Usage of Laser Glass Thickness Gauge

Usage of Laser Glass Thickness Gauge

Using the principle of optical reflection, the laser glass thickness gauge can measure the glass thickness on the single side of the glass, especially for the measuring occasions where the universal measuring tools (such as scale or caliper, etc.) cannot be or are not easy to operate, such as the wall thickness of glass bottle and the thickness of building sandwich glass (hollow glass). For the measurement of the air sandwich glass, the thickness of two layers of glass and the middle air layer can be obtained simultaneously.

Usage of laser glass thickness gauge:
The laser glass thickness gauge is made by the reflection principle of glass to a laser. The light source is an imported high-quality laser diode. The high brightness, high direction, high monochromatism and high coherence of laser ensure the high precision of measurement.

When using, hold the two sides of the instrument with both hands respectively, and stick the instrument to the surface of the glass under test. Press the "power switch" with the index finger of the right hand. The reflected light from the laser on the back of the instrument hitting the upper and lower surfaces of the glass forms bars on the ruler. The difference between the bars on the glass thickness scale is the thickness of the glass.

Measurement results of different types of glass:
1. Two beams of light can be seen in a single layer of glass.
2. Four beams of light can be seen in a double layer of glass.
3. Six beams of light can be seen in a three-layer of glass, and so on.
