The Principle and Function of Gloss Meter

The principle of gloss meter:

It is also called gloss machine, photometer, gloss measuring instrument, gloss measuring instrument, gloss measuring instrument, gloss measuring instrument, gloss testing instrument, gloss testing instrument and gloss measuring instrument. It is widely used in chemical raw materials, paint manufacturing, aerospace industry, automobile industry, shipbuilding industry, electronic industry, electrical industry, communications and other supporting special measuring instruments. By switching to mirror mode, the gloss meter can be widely used as a portable gloss meter.

The light source emits a beam of light through the lens to reach the measured surface, and the measured surface reflects the light to the lens. The lens converges the beam to the photovoltaic cell located at the light barrier. After photovoltaic conversion, the photovoltaic cell sends the electrical signal to the processing circuit for processing, and the instrument displays the measurement results. It should be noted that during the gloss measurement process, the default light source is very stable and will not change. Glossiness is completely different from the concept of "smoothness" or "roughness" in the mechanical processing industry, the latter is for the evaluation of micro-roughness of material surface. The measuring principle of gloss meter is that the light source emits a beam of light through the lens to reach the measured surface > and the measured surface reflects the light to the lens. The lens converges the beam to the photovoltaic cell located at the light barrier. After photoelectric conversion, the photovoltaic cell sends the electrical signal to the processing circuit for processing, and then the instrument displays the measurement results. The unit of glossiness, according to the regulations, is the number. In addition, when recording, in principle, the measuring angle should be clearly determined with the name and type of the instrument manufacturer.

Function of gloss meter:

The gloss meter can measure the surface of different materials from plastic to metal, and the measurement range is wide. Glossiness ranges from 0 to 200 Gu (at 20 degrees).

2. The glossiness difference can be measured by displaying standard value/sample value or PASS/FAIL evaluation. The function of PASS/FAIL can also be realized by setting limit difference.

3. In the mode selection menu, basic mode and statistical mode can be selected for measurement.

4. You can choose the angle you need to display in the measurement angle interface. You can choose two display triangles at the same time (MULTI DLOSS 268).

5. The names of standard values and sample values can be input in the measurement results to facilitate identification.
